Mono Mono Twins and Very Confused

I found out at 12 weeks we where expecting twins. Then, at 14 weeks I was told they are mono/mono twins. The Dr. gave us 50/50 chance, said there is nothing we can do untill 24 weeks, and sent us on our way. So, I have researched myself and all these success stories are giving me hope. I would like to know, when did everyone deliver and how are your little babies? I also read all the cords will be tangled, how badly was everyone's cords, and when did ultrasound pick up on entanglement.

This is Myriah and I just want to say thanks for your replies! I will be 28 weeks tomorrow and I am being admitted as inpatient tomorrow to be closely monitored until the delivery of my girls! They have been doing great, and we plan to deliver around 32 weeks! Thanks again

Hi im 27 years old and i had mono mono twins they can pick up on cord entanglement around 26 weeks.. My doctor hospitalized me at 26 weeks did ultra sounds every other day and stress tests its hard to say about cord entanglement because sometimes they would say the cord was tangled and sometimes it wasnt...They decided to deliver my twins at 32 weeks baby A was 5 9 and baby b was 5 2 and they took pictures of the cords and honestly the cords was a mess so they are indeed miracle babies. U will be ok and if they expect anything wrong they will act enjoy your little blessings and you would like a little more info email me and i would be more then happy to anwser your questions... kisha414@yahoo.com

We found out we were having twins around 8 weeks and somehow our doctor picked up that they may be mo-mo twins. We were sent to a great specialist. I have ultrasounds every 4 weeks in the begining and then every 2 weeks, at 24 weeks we began with once a day stress tests. I made it about a week driving an hour 1 way to and from the hospital for the stress tests when they noticed a decel in one of the babies heartrates. I was sent upstairs to the PICU and lived there for around 8 weeks counting the time spent in the hospital after the c-section. It was very, very stressful but i was in the best place. You need to just pray hard and trust the doctors! They also did stress tests once a day while in the hospital and then they upped it to twice a day, and upon my requests 3 times a day for 1 hour each unless they saw something questionable. I also had them wake me up every couple of hours towards the end at night to check heart beats, just for peace of mind! Don't be afraid to ask anything!! My girls were 3 lbs 14 oz and 3 lbs 12 oz, they spent 1 month exactly in the NICU and they now weigh 17 lbs and 17lbs 12 oz and are 9 months old. They are wonderful healthy babies and i wish you the best of luck that you have them same!

Hello my name is Ashley, and I found out i was having mono mono twins at 11 weeks and they saw their cords tangled at 14 weeks. At 28 weeks i went twice daily non stress test. My girls were born at 34 weeks 3 days, and i delivered them vaginally, which is almost unheard of. It is a very stressful pregnancy and the best advice is to leave it in the hands of God. My girls have no problems and they were 5lbs 9 oz and 5lbs 6 oz and i do have pics of the cords on my profile. I want to say good luck and find a doctor that you trust and God Bless
