Lower Abdominal/Pelvic Pressure

Hi,

I am 17.5 weeks pregnant. I have been feeling really good the last few days and as of yesterday I feel a tremendous amount of pressure in my pelvic area (similar to what I experienced at the end of my pregnancy with my son but that was at the end when he dropped). It almost feels like something is going to fall out. Anyone else feel this?

Yes I had this on Friday night and it lasted from 10:30 p.m. till 12:00 p.m. It kinda felt like Kidney Stones but was not. Was definetly my Uterus stretching and only thing that helped me was to take a shower and let the water hit me.

I'm now 8 weeks and will hopefully be finding out if we are having Twins. But I have a big feeling I am. I'm 8 weeks but look like I'm 4-5 months I'm so big. Was not big before getting pregnant. I have a feeling it's twins since twins run on my mom and dads side of the family and I'm 37 years old with 2nd pregnancy I have a 3 year old daughter.

I definitely experienced this with my twin pregnancy and even more so with my current pregnancy with a singleton. My OB said that it was very common for mothers to experience this in consecutive pregnancies as the abdominal wall has already been stretched and the baby/babies tend to feel like they're "dropping" or carrying much lower. Not the best feeling in the world, but generally considered normal.

Yes, I felt something like that with my twins. My ob/gyn said it was actually my uterus stretching more since there were two babies and not one.

Hope that helps! You will still want to check in with your doctor of course :)
