I need your opinions!

My appointment was on 12/8/2009 @ 8:30 in the morning. The lady was 45 mins late and when she finally got there I was the only one that was there for an ultrasound. I was in her office for a total of 6 mins for a vaginal ultrasound. I seen one heartbeat clear as day, but then i seen another and by the time I was going to ask her if that was another baby she got a phone call and said ok we are done here. I recieved this ultrasound picture and was looking at it first she told me that the Spot on top was a YOLK SAC, I find that so hard to believe because it is farther away to be a Yolk Sac. I think there is 2 babies in there. Can you please help me. I dont see the DR till 12/28/2009. The Heart beat for the baby was 126 she ssaid that was good where it was supposed to be but then she was like ok we are done! I so want another scan done to make sure.But i dont think my DR will give me another. I am having more symptoms than with any of my other children. Hi,
Just thought id let you know,
my 2nd pregnancy was exactly the same scan as yours, the doc did another scan 2 weeks later as he thought it was a twin on ours but couldnt see both heart beats, 2 weeks later he saw 1 very strong heart beat and a very slow one, a few weeks later after another scan, we lost the other baby and same thing my body absorbed the baby up, i was told that its quite common in twin pregnancies and a lot go undetected because of it, i was so gratefull to have even 1 as we had been trying for 6 years,

Well congratulations on your girl. Thank you for letting me know what you found. I have my next appt on 5-27, I will post what we find out :)

Also i was told that the other could have been a yolk sac but after my searching and browsing and also researching I found out that a yolk sac is completely round not identical to another baby.

Well what we found out is that there is only one baby in there , we are now 31 weeks but they don't know if there was 2or not that could have been absorbed back into my body. I already had that happen to me once before with my daughter. But as long as we have one very healthy baby that is all that matters to us. I am not going to sit and dwell over what could have been!!! We can not wait for our 2nd baby girl to be born. I hope the best for you let us know what is going on with you too ok. Good luck!!!!!!!

Hi, congrats. I'm curious what you found out, if it was two or just one. My Dr. told she couldn't tell if there were two babies or one and one yolk sac, looks just like yours.

It does look like two babies in there!
Mine were more separate, like one on one side and the other on the opossite side. But deffinetly the same bean shape I see in yours.

Hi, At my 5 week scan, we only saw one sac, but at my 7 week scan we clearly TWO sac's and two little flickers of heartbeats.

So my guess would be you just have one little baby! :) By 7 / 8 weeks you should be able to see the other baby.

But with just one heartbeat and just one sac, it prob just one! :)

Plus i just had my 9 week u/s and you can still see a tiny yoke sac :)

Hope that helps, but your dr/us tech could be wrong (small chance)
