I have boy/girl twins. There is never a question in one's mind about their sex - one is all boy and the other is all girl. My son looks like his father, and my daughter looks like me. (the following question has been asked of us many times)

While in line at Starbucks a very nice woman asked:

Q: Awwww...so cute. boy and girl?
A: Thanks. yes they are.
Q: Are they twins?
A: Yes.
Q: Are they identical?
A: (dumbfounded look, I'm sure) Whaaaa...? Um...No.

I'm 35 weeks preg with b/g twins. Every day, someone will ask, "is it a boy or a girl?" I say, "one of each". Every single time it is followed by, "Are they twins?!"

My dad tried to convince me that my id twins could be girl/boy - mum put him right. I wouldn't mind so much but my sister and I were id twins (she sadly died when we were young) so you'd think he'd know.

I was just reading another page like this and they were saying that it is possible but its only like with mutations and what not...im googleing it now because everywhere Ive read its been there is no possible way to have boy/girl fraternal twins...im 26 weeks pregnant and people ask me if i know if they're fraternal or identical after i tell them im having boy/girl and im like def. fraternal not possible for them to be identical. but before i started doing research bout twins (didnt start researching it till after i found out i was pregnant with them) i must say that i didnt have a clue about twins and did think that boy/girl could be identical...didnt think bout the fact that boys and girls cant have the exact same dna lol so maybe everyone else is just blonde too!! lol
